Explain the significance of major ideas and philosophies of government reflected in the Declaration of Independence.

Your task: The date is July 4th, 1776. The Declaration of Independence has been written, mostly by Thomas Jefferson, and the delegates to the Continental Congress have signed it. You are Mr. Jefferson and a newspaper reporter is interviewing you about this important document. Using the information from your reading and viewing of the video, write the answers to the questions this reporter asks you. You will find the questions on the resource page.
Steps you will be following: In order to plan and create your interview answers, you will do all of the following:
1) Click on the word Declaration of Independence, and read the information. As you read, take dash notes, looking for specific evidence/facts to include in your interview.
2) Watch the video It's Too Late to Apologize or go to the resources page to watch it, and take notes.
3) Organize your information, plan, look at the interview questions, and write your responses.
4) You will want to refer to your notes while writing your interview answers. You can re-read the article and re-look at the video as often as you need to.
